If the first account bound mount had been the warpig, or the hoverboard, or even the midnight equivar (im dominion), I would have been far more interested. I've spent less on f2p than I did on live because the f2p cash shop has been filled with uninteresting re-skins and character bound mounts. My personal opinion is that the whole thing is pathetic. They're simply using re-skins and old models while passing stuff off under industry standard prices.
The art and animation team has little to no resources to create new and exciting content such as cool hoverboards, awesome speeders, etc. They're doing this to intentionally deny the consumer outrage and say "we told you that it wasn't popular." The people deciding the prices of the f2p model are utterly clueless and are choosing the least detailed and popular mount to gauge the interest in account bound mounts. A cool idea for a mount regardless.ĭon your tinfoil hat. Don't know if anyone else noticed or cared much about the quality. You guys can do much better and have done much better prior. Nothing lazily drawn onto the skin layer either. The other recent mounts like Strain-Snarf/Ghastly Warpig have so much more work put into the little details by comparison. It's in my opinion a pretty sub-par rendition and It's very noticeable how flat the details are. But I must admit i'm pretty disappointed by the artists quality this time around. Guess i'll end up grabbing one anyway to show support.
Not nearly the same quality work as what went into the original with the higher detail electric particles. Snowflakes are a bunch of white flat paper particles. Could at least use more festive details like a trees, snowman, something. The only unique animation is the snowflakes that were added into the hull. Recolored hull and frame, and "Frost" was flatly drawn directly onto the skin rather than added on top of it. Is that not a little bit steep? The mount is the same as the default Orbitron in the major aspects of it's design.
(single-claim is $20 by comparison, 75% increase in price for account bound).
